View Full Version : Schilling on HIS Boss

I read that Schilling just barely stopped short of criticizing his own owner, John Henry, for Henry's criticism of Steinbrenner. He said that the Sox have a payroll of $130 million and he's not sure if criticizing the Yankees is the right thing to do.

In this instance I think Schilling is showing a lot of courage, and his point is smart too. He's a ferocious pitcher, we all know that our Yankees have enough trouble with him, but it also appears that he's got a tough streak in him off the field as well.

Schilling is a "union guy". He is against a salary cap with a passion and would debate anyone, even his own owner, for even suggesting it.

FYI. I already posted this on the "Around the Majors" forum.

??Actually, Schilling is supporting his teammates and other players. Sheffield's reputation -- deserved or not -- is for the opposite.

Schilling is a no bull$hit kind of guy, thats respectable.

But I dont know if its a goodidea to be so "honest" when youre new to a team.
