I know it's too early to speculate....but that's what they were saying with Mark Prior also....

You know Jeter had a few injuries earlier in his career as well...

And Ryan Leaf was the new Phil Simms. Oh wait.

Just because you have a thought, it doesn't mean it's thread worthy.

I don't know about "Mark Prior" status, but he is certainly reminding me of "The Old Man" in A Christmas Story:

"Fra-GEE-lay."

"I think that says fragile."

No.

Someone with real martial arts skills would be better.

Steven Seagal, if he could get in shape, would be a good Batman.

This is why megathreads are good. The crazy posts gets mixed in with all the other crazy posts. Now we just have a crazy thread.

Hughes = Hammy, ankle and Rib
Prior = Arm and shoulder

Yeah, looks to me like they have lots in common.

Phil Hughes:
2007: Hamstring
2008: Rib

Mark Prior:
2003: Shoulder
2004: Achilles tendon
2005: Elbow
2006: Shoulder
2007: Shoulder
2008: Shoulder

Until Hughes has an arm problem, lets not make stupid comparisons.

Whether a thread is worthy of being started isn't open to debate, whether the thread is in the main ITL forum or this one. Once it's in this forum, the whole purpose of this sub-forum is for people to start new threads based on what they're thinking about.

So with Mark Prior they were speculating that he may be the next Mark Prior?

This. Hughes hasn't had any arm trouble that I know of, and certainly none recently. I could be going out on a limb here, but I think arm/shoulder trouble is a little more worrisome for a pitcher than a hamstring or cracked rib.

So this is the type of garbage IT2 shall spawn? One of the rules of this sub-forum is that users are not to pass judgement on whether threads are worthy of being started. If a user doesn't like what's in a thread either ignore it or if it's in violation of a community standard report it to a moderator.
