NEW YORK (AP) - Darren Bragg cleared waivers Friday and was sent outright to Columbus of the International League by the New York Yankees.

Bragg, 31, was designated for assignment by the Yankees on June 29 after they signed outfielder Gerald Williams. He was 1-for-4 in five games with New York.

Earlier this year, Bragg played for the New York Mets, who brought him up from the minors on May 16, then released him June 6. He hit .263 (15-for-57) with five RBIs with the Mets.
